How and from where to download free games, music, movies, softwares

Alright, if any of you are like me, you are sitting there with your headphones bumping to the nice beat of the newest album you may have bought(except I dont buy mine), when suddenly you remember a song you dont have, or maybe linkin park has released a new album. Or maybe you are thirsting for that new game that has just been released, and you glare at the price tag and see "Only $59.99!" and you say to yourself "I wish I could get it for free..". Well, now you can! The tutorial below I will explain how to get multiple video games, movies, music, and more for free, yes free.

First of all, if you're going to be downloading any large games or movies, I recommend you have a good internet connection, and not dial-up, nor ISDN. I have 3.0MB download with over-head, and even a couple of gigs with enough downloaders still takes time. So, be patient, and dont be so cheap..broadband is becoming cheaper and cheaper as time progresses.

Okay so first you are going to need some programs in-order to do any of what I listed above. The first you are going to need our favorite P2P downloading program, BitTorrent.

You can find BitTorrent at http://www.bittorrent.com/ for download, or search Google if you might need a mirror for whatever reason.

Second of all, you will need a drive mounting program called Daemon Tools. At the time of this Tutorial, I had the version 3.47.0.0 and have had no problems. Anywho, you can download Daemon Tools at http://www.daemon-tools.cc/dtcc/portal/download.php

Okay you will need to find a website serving "torrents". I suggest using http://www.torrentspy.com/ especially for movies and games, alot of the music they have are albums rather than singular songs. So, use Google and search for torrent search engines, and be creative. But I haven given the liberty of doing a little searching myself, and below you will find a few very convenient urls for downloading through BitTorrent.

And the urls are:
http://www.torrentspy.com/
**Like I said, very convenient, great layout, easy navigation. You almost always find what you're looking for, I suggest trying this site first.**

http://www.mininova.org/
**I just recently found this site after searching for a video. Easy navigation, also shows a nice torrent list right on the main page.
Also user-friendly.**

http://www.search.bittorrent.com/
**Very nice site. Easily type in a search and off you go! No cluttered links, bad graphics, or html. Just a plain and simple Torrent search engine.**

~~Games~~
Now, my first demonstration will be for the newly released Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas for the PC, yes you can also do this to get yourself free console games, but if the online mode has DNAS installed, you wont be able to get online. You also CANNOT play burnt console games on your console unless your console is modded with some sort of mod-chip.

I downloaded San Andreas from www.torrentspy.com, which is where I download most of my torrents from. Now, the download(keep in mind, this was the first day this game was in stores, and it was already ripped) had contained about 50 files, all of the files were rarred, so I needed WinRAR. You can download WinRAR at www.rarlab.com and Make sure you pick up a copy of WinZip just incase(www.winzip.com).

Okay back to the matter at hand. Again, I had about 50 files that all had the same name: hlm-gtasa and there were 50 files with that name. So, I loaded up Daemon-Tools and down on the system tray I right clicked and selected "Virtual CD/DVD-ROM" then selected "Device 0: [G] No media" then clicked on "Mount Image" then from here you go into the folder with these '50 files" and select the first one at the top, the very first one. Now, this is the exact same replication as if you just put in the GTA: SA DVD you bought from the store into your CD/DVD drive, except without the DVD.

From here, if you still have Autoplay on the file should automatically execute and begin the installation phase. If nothing happens, you might have Autoplay turned off, you start it manually click Start>My Computer> And under My Computer it should show down where the CD drives are, one of them had a DVD in it(Or a "Mounted Image") For GTA: SA, it will show a small icon of someones face, so double click that to start the installation. If from here it doesnt begin still, then it might just bring you to a folder with a bunch of files, find something like "Autoplay" or "Start" or something along those lines, the installation should now begin.

At times when you buy PC games they will come with 2 or 3 or occasionally 4 CD/DVDs. During the installation a popup will appear saying "Please insert disc 2" when this happens, right click Daemon tools again in the system tray and select "Virtual CD/DVD-ROM" and select ABOVE where it says "Unmount all drives". The reason I say above that is because above "Unmount all drives" is where the mounted image is, and it could say anything there so I cant be specific. Anywho, select it and then select "Unmount image". Then right click Daemon again, select "Virtual CD/DVD-ROM" and select "Mount Image" and find the folder again with the 50 files and this time, select the SECOND file instead of the first one, then go back to the installation and where it says "insert disc 2" click "Continue". Repeat this step if it asks you for disc 3 or disc 4, except select the third file or fourth file and so on.

Now for GTA: SA once the installation was complete, the game would not run from Daemon. If you happen to come across this issue what you need to do is find a crack, so for this goto http://www.gamecopyworld.com/ or search Google. Anyway once under GameCopyWorld search for GTA SA Crack or so, use your imagination and be creative, I cant tell you how to search, just search! Find a "No CD Crack" or a "No CD Fixed EXE". Download it, and read the ReadMe it comes with, normally the 'Fixed EXE' has to be renamed to the regular file that launches the game under the directory where the game is located and rename it to what the original one was named and launch it from there, just read the ReadMe and it should explain everything.

This does NOT just apply to Grand Theft Auto San Andreas, it applies to just about every game out there. If you Windows savvy, browse around and figure out a way to fix things, if you run into a brick wall, email me and I'll be glad to help you out. My email is listed at the top of this tutorial.

~~Movies~~
I have used this method, or actually it was explained to me, I've yet to do it. But do not be discouraged, I got this information from a valuable source and saw the results effective with my own eyes. This method was used on the newly released "Batman Begins" movie. Torrentspy.com was used, the file was downloaded and it contained 2 folders, each contained about 110 files each, but anyway when the download finishes for easy navigation move all the files to an easily navigated location (ie your desktop, a new folder, etc). Make sure if youdo this you label the folders CD1 and put the files from the 1st folder in there, and CD2 and put the files from the 2nd folder there. Use Daemon tools and mount the first file from the first folder. From here, start the CD/DVD from My Computer, unless a popup atuomatically starts. This part is easily navigated and it should either 1. Popup with the mpeg file to view the movie. Or 2. Show some sort of VCD folder with the video file located under it. Be aware, the reason for 2 folders each containing so many different files is simple, each file is a small part of the movie. Then save this mpeg or movie file on your desktop, mount the first file from the 2nd folder and the second part should popup, follow the instructions from when you mounted the first part of the movie. Now, you'll need a program to combine both of these clips and create an actual movie. Search Google, or take a look around http://www.mymusictools.com/download/video-joiner/ and see if you can find a program that meets your needs(the first program at the top looks simple from reading the description).

~~Music~~
Use the Torrent search engines that I listed above, and search for the likes of "Creed" or "Jay-z" etc. etc. Although I'll warn you now, it is difficult and/or rare to actually find sngular songs, normally if you search for an artist or group it will come back with whole albums, so if thats what you want download it, wait for it to finish, and figure it out from there. It cannot be too difficult, besides, if they are Rarred or zipped just use the specific program (WinRAR for Rarred files, and WinZip for Zipped files). And thats it, the music area is quite simple, which is the reason for it being so short.

~~How to setup Daemon Tools~~
This is a small section on how to work and getting through the setup process of Daemon tools. Before you do any image mounting you've got to make sure the mounted images are being sent thoe the correct place, so first right click on Daemon tools and select "Virtual CD/DVD-ROM" and select "Set number of devices..." and select "1 drive". This should then point all mounted images to the [G] drive. If you select more than one drive, others will be mounted to [F] and so on. Play around with it a little, it's a pretty fun tool to work with.

And thats just about it, explore around these search engines and see what else you can download. On some of them, you can even find whole sports games and clips, as well as E-Books. So explore, and have fun doing it all without your expense.
