strong & stable DoS tool named zDoS.

Hello, i have coded a strong & stable DoS tool named zDoS.

*sigh* by the way, guys. Before you get into reading, I know most of you will hate because I only
have 1 post. But i thought hey, why not start the site off with this
amazing dedication to the people of HackForums. This program is
virus-free 100%. Don't believe me? don't download it then i dont care.
Anubis it, i dont care, its 100% clean. Staff can check this.

I was going to post this in VIP sections in specific forums,
but decided instead to share to the public.Tongue

+REP plz (:

This is probably one of the best tools i have ever created.

It has the strength of about 25 Server Attacker's.
(I'm just estimating btw, might be more, might be less).
It uses HTTP Protocol.

It took down VBForums.com in 5-10 seconds.Black Hat

Here are the screenshots:

[Image: 20jqo7q.jpg] [Image: 27zkn4n.jpg]

zDoS uses up CPU power & lags so the most you should open up with this is about like 5 maybe even less.Nono

I know how annoying other DoS tools are that take forever to timeout
a site, and then comes back up immediately. This is the complete opposite! Yeye

If you can +rep me, i'd appreciate it.

There are couple of ways that we can deface a website

1.SQL
2.XSS
3.Shell upload
4.RFI
5.LFI

like that .. so but today Im going to show you .. how can you deface a website using a shell so lets start it

before you upload a shell you need to know about shells

Shells

you can use shell as a tool .. Its more easy to use .. when you upload shell it will give you evey detail about the site .. you write , delete , upload ... or what ever you want to do .. so

How can we find a shell

you can google for that http://www.google.com , or this are some sites that you can find shells

http://www.shellci.biz/
http://www.evilc0der.com/
http://r57.gen.tr/
http://rinotrans.com/rino/

ok .. now we know about shells

How to upload a shell to a website

there are many ways you can upload a shell to a website but Im going to use upload option to upload the shell .. its up to you how to find a way to upload a shell coz there are many wasy ...

so lets see at this picture

what do do after getting IP address

Hi guys. First of all, I want to say that I didn't make this tutorial myself, I found it on Hacking Library

Introduction
1. Welcome to the basic NETBIOS document created by aCId_rAIn. This document will teach you some simple things about NETBIOS, what it does, how to use it, how to hack with it, and some other simple DOS commands that will be useful to you in the future. THIS DOCUMENT IS FOR NEWBIEZ ONLY!!! If you are NOT a newbie then don't go any farther reading this because if you're smart enough you probably already know it all. So don't waste yourt time reading something that you already know.

1. Hardware and Firmware

1a. The BIOS
The BIOS, short for Basic Input/Output Services, is the control program of the PC. It is responsible for starting up your computer, transferring control of the system to your operating system, and for handling other low-level functions, such as disk access.
NOTE that the BIOS is not a software program, insofar as it is not purged from memory when you turn off the computer. It's
firmware, which is basically software on a chip.
A convenient little feature that most BIOS manufacturers include is a startup password. This prevents access to the system until you enter the correct password.
If you can get access to the system after the password has been entered, then there are numerous software-based BIOS password extractors available from your local H/P/A/V site.
NETBIOS/NBTSTAT - What does it do?

2. NETBIOS, also known as NBTSTAT is a program run on the Windows system and is used for identifying a remote network or computer for file sharing enabled. We can expoit systems using this method. It may be old but on home pc's sometimes it still works great. You can use it on your friend at home or something. I don't care what you do, but remember, that you are reading this document because you want to learn. So I am going to teach you. Ok. So, you ask, "How do i get to NBTSTAT?" Well, there are two ways, but one's faster.
Method 1:Start>Programs>MSDOS PROMPT>Type NBTSTAT
Method 2:Start>Run>Type Command>Type NBTSTAT
(Note: Please, help your poor soul if that isn't like feeding you with a baby spoon.)
Ok! Now since you're in the DOS command under NBTSTAT, you're probably wondering what all that crap is that's on your screen. These are the commands you may use. I'm only going to give you what you need to know since you are striving to be l33t. Your screen should look like the following:

NBTSTAT [ [-a RemoteName] [-A IP address] [-c] [-n]
[-r] [-R] [-RR] [-s] [-S] [interval] ]
-a (adapter status) Lists the remote machine's name table given its name
-A (Adapter status) Lists the remote machine's name table given its IP address.
-c (cache) Lists NBT's cache of remote [machine] names and their IP addresses
-n (names) Lists local NetBIOS names.
-r (resolved) Lists names resolved by broadcast and via WINS
-R (Reload) Purges and reloads the remote cache name table
-S (Sessions) Lists sessions table with the destination IP addresses
-s (sessions) Lists sessions table converting destination IP addresses to computer NETBIOS names.
-RR (ReleaseRefresh) Sends Name Release packets to WINS and then, starts Refresh
RemoteName Remote host machine name.
IP address Dotted decimal representation of the IP address.
interval Redisplays selected statistics, pausing interval seconds between each display. Press Ctrl+C to stop redisplaying
statistics.
C:\WINDOWS\DESKTOP>
The only two commands that are going to be used and here they are:
-a (adapter status) Lists the remote machine's name table given its name
-A (Adapter status) Lists the remote machine's name table given its IP address.
Host Names

3. Now, the -a means that you will type in the HOST NAME of the person's computer that you are trying to access. Just in case you don't have any idea what a Host Name looks like here's an example.
123-fgh-ppp.internet.com
there are many variations of these adresses. For each different address you see there is a new ISP assigned to that computer. look at the difference.
abc-123.internet.com
ghj-789.newnet.com
these are differnet host names as you can see, and, by identifying the last couple words you will be able to tell that these are two computers on two different ISPs. Now, here are two host names on the same ISP but a different located server.
123-fgh-ppp.internet.com
567-cde-ppp.internet.com
IP Addresses
4. You can resolce these host names if you want to the IP address (Internet Protocol)
IP addresses range in different numbers. An IP looks like this:
201.123.101.123
Most times you can tell if a computer is running on a cable connection because of the IP address's numbers. On faster connections, usually the first two numbers are low. here's a cable connection IP.
24.18.18.10
on dialup connections IP's are higher, like this:
208.148.255.255
notice the 208 is higher than the 24 which is the cable connection.
REMEMBER THOUGH, NOT ALL IP ADDRESSES WILL BE LIKE THIS.
Some companies make IP addresses like this to fool the hacker into believing it's a dialup, as a hacker would expect something big, like a T3 or an OC-18. Anyway This gives you an idea on IP addresses which you will be using on the nbtstat command.
Getting The IP Through DC (Direct Connection)
5. First. You're going to need to find his IP or host name. Either will work. If you are on mIRC You can get it by typing /whois (nick) ...where (nick) is the persons nickname without parenthesis. you will either get a host name or an IP. copy it down. If you do not get it or you are not using mIRC then you must direct connect to their computer or you may use a sniffer to figure out his IP or host name. It's actually better to do it without the sniffer because most sniffers do not work now-a-days. So you want to establish a direct connection to their computer. OK, what is a direct connection? When you are:
Sending a file to their computer you are directly connected.
AOL INSTANT MESSENGER allows a Direct Connection to the user if accepted.
ICQ when sending a file or a chat request acception allows a direct connection.
Any time you are sending a file. You are directly connected. (Assuming you know the user is not using a proxy server.)
Voice Chatting on Yahoo establishes a direct connection.
If you have none of these programs, either i suggest you get one, get a sniffer, or read this next statement.
If you have any way of sending thema link to your site that enables site traffic statistics, and you can log in, send a link to your site, then check the stats and get the IP of the last visitor. It's a simple and easy method i use. It even fool some smarter hackers, because it catches them off guard. Anyway, once you are directly
connected use either of the two methods i showed you earlier and get into DOS. Type NETSTAT -n. NETSTAT is a program that's name is short for NET STATISTICS. It will show you all computers connected to yours. (This is also helpful if you think you are being hacked by a trojan horse and is on a port that you know such as Sub Seven: 27374.) Your screen should look like this showing the connections to your computer:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
C:\WINDOWS\DESKTOP>netstat -n
Active Connections
Proto Local Address Foreign Address State
TCP 172.255.255.82:1027 205.188.68.46:13784 ESTABLISHED
TCP 172.255.255.82:1036 205.188.44.3:5190 ESTABLISHED
TCP 172.255.255.82:1621 24.131.30.75:66 CLOSE_WAIT
TCP 172.255.255.82:1413 205.188.8.7:26778 ESTABLISHED
TCP 172.255.255.82:1483 64.4.13.209:1863 ESTABLISHED
C:\WINDOWS\DESKTOP>
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The first line indicated the Protocol (language) that is being used by the two computers.
TCP (Transfer Control Protocol) is being used in this and is most widely used.
Local address shows your IP address, or the IP address of the system you on.
Foreign address shows the address of the computer connected to yours.
State tells you what kind of connection is being made ESTABLISHED - means it will stay connected to you as long as you are on the program or as long as the computer is allowing or is needing the other computers connection to it. CLOSE_WAIT means the connection closes at times and waits until it is needed or you resume connection to be made again. One that isn't on the list is TIME_WAIT which means it is timed. Most Ads that run on AOL are using TIME_WAIT states.
the way you know the person is directly connected to your computer is because of this:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
C:\WINDOWS\DESKTOP>netstat -n
Active Connections
Proto Local Address Foreign Address State
TCP 172.255.255.82:1027 205.188.68.46:13784 ESTABLISHED
TCP 172.255.255.82:1036 205.188.44.3:5190 ESTABLISHED
TCP 172.255.255.82:1621 24.131.30.75:66 CLOSE_WAIT
TCP 172.255.255.82:1413 abc-123-ppp.webnet.com ESTABLISHED
TCP 172.255.255.82:1483 64.4.13.209:1863 ESTABLISHED
C:\WINDOWS\DESKTOP>
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Notice the host name is included in the fourth line instead of the IP address on all. This is almost ALWAYS, the other computer that is connected to you. So here, now, you have the host name:
abc-123-ppp.webnet.com
If the host name is not listed and the IP is then it NO PROBLEM because either one works exactly the same. I am using abc-123-ppp.webnet.com host name as an example. Ok so now you have the IP and/or host name of the remote system you want to connect to. Time to hack!
Open up your DOS command. Open up NBTSTAT by typing NBTSTAT. Ok, there's the crap again. Well, now time to try out what you have leanred from this document by testing it on the IP and/or host name of the remote system. Here's the only thing you'll need to know.
IMPORTANT, READ NOW!!!
-a (adapter status) Lists the remote machine's name table given its name
-A (Adapter status) Lists the remote machine's name table given its IP address.
Remember this?
Time to use it.
-a will be the host name
-A will be the IP
How do i know this?
Read the Statements following the -a -A commands. It tells you there what each command takes.
So have you found which one you have to use?
GOOD!
Time to start.
Using it to your advantage
6. Type this if you have the host name only.
NBTSTAT -a (In here put in hostname without parenthesis)
Type this is you have the IP address only.
NBTSTAT -A (In here put in IP address without parenthesis)
Now, hit enter and wait. Now Either one of two things came up
1. Host not found
2. Something that looks like this:
--------------------------------------------
NetBIOS Local Name Table
Name Type Status
---------------------------------------------
GMVPS01 <00> UNIQUE Registered
WORKGROUP <00> GROUP Registered
GMVPS01 <03> UNIQUE Registered
GMVPS01 <20> UNIQUE Registered
WORKGROUP <1E> GROUP Registered
---------------------------------------------
If the computer responded "Host not found" Then either one of two things are the case:
1. You screwed up the host name.
2. The host is not hackable.
If number one is the case you're in great luck. If two, This system isn't hackable using the NBTSTAT command. So try another system.
If you got the table as above to come up, look at it carefully as i describe to you each part and its purpose.
Name - states the share name of that certain part of the computer
<00>, <03>, <20>, <1E> - Are the Hexidecimal codes giving you the services available on that share name.
Type - Is self-explanatory. It's either turned on, or activated by you, or always on.
Status - Simply states that the share name is working and is activated.
Look above and look for the following line:
GMVPS01 <20> UNIQUE Registered
See it?
GOOD! Now this is important so listen up. The Hexidecimanl code of <20> means that file sharing is enabled on the share name that is on that line with the hex number. So that means GMVPS01 has file sharing enabled. So now you want to hack this. Here's How to do it. (This is the hard part)
LMHOST File
7. There is a file in all Windows systems called LMHOST.sam. We need to simply add the IP into the LMHOST file because LMHOST basically acts as a network, automatically logging you on to it. So go to Start, Find, FIles or Folders. Type in LMHOST and hit enter. when it comes up open it using a text program such as wordpad, but make sure you do not leave the checkmark to "always open files with this extension" on that. Simply go through the LMHOST file until you see the part:
# This file is compatible with Microsoft LAN Manager 2.x TCP/IP lmhosts
# files and offers the following extensions:
#
# #PRE
# #DOM:
# #INCLUDE
# #BEGIN_ALTERNATE
# #END_ALTERNATE
# \0xnn (non-printing character support)
#
# Following any entry in the file with the characters "#PRE" will cause
# the entry to be preloaded into the name cache. By default, entries are
# not preloaded, but are parsed only after dynamic name resolution fails.
#
# Following an entry with the "#DOM:" tag will associate the
# entry with the domain specified by . This affects how the
# browser and logon services behave in TCP/IP environments. To preload
# the host name associated with #DOM entry, it is necessary to also add a
# #PRE to the line. The is always preloaded although it will not
# be shown when the name cache is viewed.
#
# Specifying "#INCLUDE " will force the RFC NetBIOS (NBT)
# software to seek the specified and parse it as if it were
# local. is generally a UNC-based name, allowing a

# centralized lmhosts file to be maintained on a server.
# It is ALWAYS necessary to provide a mapping for the IP address of the
# server prior to the #INCLUDE. This mapping must use the #PRE directive.
# In addtion the share "public" in the example below must be in the
# LanManServer list of "NullSessionShares" in order for client machines to
# be able to read the lmhosts file successfully. This key is under
# \machine\system\currentcontrolset\services\lanmans erver\parameters\nullsessionshares
# in the registry. Simply add "public" to the list found there.
#
# The #BEGIN_ and #END_ALTERNATE keywords allow multiple #INCLUDE
# statements to be grouped together. Any single successful include
# will cause the group to succeed.
#
# Finally, non-printing characters can be embedded in mappings by
# first surrounding the NetBIOS name in quotations, then using the
# \0xnn notation to specify a hex value for a non-printing character.
Read this over and over until you understand the way you want your connection to be set. Here's an example of how to add an IP the way I would do it:
#PRE #DOM:255.102.255.102 #INCLUDE
Pre will preload the connection as soon as you log on to the net. DOM is the domain or IP address of the host you are connecting to. INCLUDE will automaticall set you to that file path. In this case as soon as I log on to the net I will get access to 255.102.255.102 on the C:/ drive. The only problem with this is that by doin the NETSTAT command while you are connected, and get the IP of your machine. That's why it only works on simple PC machines. Because people in these days are computer illiterate and have no idea of what these commands can do. They have no idea what NETSTAT is, so you can use that to your advantage. Most PC systems are kind of hard to hack using this method now because they are more secure and can tell when another system is trying to gain access. Also, besure that you (somehow) know whether they are running a firewall or not because it will block the connection to their computer. Most home systems aren't running a firewall, and to make it better, they don't know how operate the firewall, therefore, leaving the hole in the system. To help you out some, it would be a great idea to pick up on some programming languages to show you how the computer reads information and learn some things on TCP/IP (Transfer Control Protocol/Internet Protocol) If you want to find out whether they are running a firewall, simply hop on a Proxy and do a port scan on their IP. You will notice if they are running a firewall because most ports are closed. Either way, you still have a better chance of hacking a home system than hacking Microsoft.
Gaining Access
7. Once you have added this to you LMHOST file. You are basically done. All you need to do is go to:
Start
Find
Computer
Once you get there you simply type the IP address or the host name of the system. When it comes up, simply double click it, and boom! There's a GUI for you so you don't have to use DOS anymore. You can use DOS to do it, but it's more simple and fun this way, so that's the only way i put it. When you open the system you can edit, delete, rename, do anything to any file you wish. I would also delete the command file in C:/ because they may use it if they think someone is in their computer. Or simply delete the shortcut to it. Then here's when the programming comes in handy. Instead of using the NBTSTAT method all the time, you can then program you own trojan on your OWN port number and upload it to the system. Then you will have easier access and you will also have a better GUI, with more features. DO NOT allow more than one connection to the system unless they are on a faster connection. If you are downloading something from their computer and they don't know it and their connection is being slow, they may check their NETSTAT to see what is connected, which will show your IP and make them suspicious. Thats it. All there is to it. Now go out and scan a network or something and find a computer with port 21 or something open

PHPBB3 Exploit !!

EDIT: DOWNLOAD THE LATEST PACK CONTAINING ALL THE TOOLS FOR THIS HACKING PROCESS : http://adf.ly/BimX

1. download and isntall the latest version of php (google it)
2. Copy and paste the whole long code below into a .txt document i.e. notepad and save it as whatever you wanan call it.
3. right click the txt document and change the ending from .txt to .php
4. go start - run - type cmd - hit enter
5. type : cd (location of where you instaleld php to i.e. cd C:\programfiles\php ) and hit enter
6. now you are in the location on where you isntalled php to (in the cmd box) type "php", then name of whatever you named the exploit and hit enter
7. your done, its self-explanatory from there .... i think.

i think those instructions will work or something like that, ive always been **** at using php exploits, much preferred perl/python/ruby one's but w/e.

Perl tutorial Install and runnning

Ok today I am going to show you how to use a perl exploit....

first go to
Code:

http://www.activestate.com/store/freedownload.aspx?prdGuid=81fbce82-6bd5-49bc-a915-08d58c2648ca

And put in your info..... I might suggest not using your real name ><...

Select your download version (They do have a linux one)

Click, and download....Try to get the MSI file...Easier for installing...

on the msi just click next and what not...

Install and get ready for the next part...

Now to use an exploit, which we can get by going to milw0rm

milw0rm.com

now click on search....

if you can't find the link go to

Code:

milw0rm.com/search.php

and search perl....

now click on anyone of them....

I am going to be using

Code:

http://www.milw0rm.com/id.php?id=1489

Remember this is only for educational purposes....

I will post the code in another forum post

now open note pad and paste in the exploit....

and save it to you "perl/bin" folder...normally perl saves directly to your C Drive....

save it as

exploit.pl

and make sure to change where it "Text documents (*.txt)" to All files

MAKE SURE IT IS IN THE BIN FOLDER

now open command prompt...

and type

cd ..

then type

cd ..

now your Directory is in the c drive...

now type

cd perl\bin

and type

perl exploit.pl

And now you just follow the exploits directions and you know how to use perl exploits...

how to accomplish a brute force attack

This article is designed to demonstrate how to accomplish a brute force attack, and what it looks like from the receiving end. Brute force means password guessing. This can only feasibly be accomplished with the aid of good target reconnaissance and some automated programs. While it is very easy to write your own brute force program, there are several available for free online. I find Brutus to be one of the best brute force tools. You can find it at Hoobie.net.

The first step in a brute force attack (or for that matter, any attack) is target enumeration. This is the process by which we find where and how a target is vulnerable. I use NMAP for almost all of my initial cursory scans of networks. Lets use the target of my own desktop server and run an NMAP scan to find out what we have to play with. The output from my scan follows:

nmap -sS -O 216.25.200.135

Starting nmap V. 2.30BETA17 by fyodor@insecure.org (
http://www.insecure.org/nmap/ )
Interesting ports on ip-216-25-200-135.covad.dsl.fcc.net
(216.25.200.135):
Port State Service
21/tcp open ftp
25/tcp open smtp
80/tcp open http
135/tcp open loc-srv
139/tcp open netbios-ssn
443/tcp open https
445/tcp open microsoft-ds
1025/tcp open listen
1026/tcp open nterm
1031/tcp open iad2

TCP Sequence Prediction: Class=random positive increments
Difficulty=7635 (Worthy challenge)
Remote operating system guess: Windows 2000 RC1 through final release

Nmap run completed -- 1 IP address (1 host up) scanned in 1 second

Ok, so weâۉ„¢ve got several services to choose from on this target. The first one that catches my eye is FTP. We can use this to brute force passwords, and we can use smtp to check for user accounts. Now the fun begins. Iâۉ„¢ll first try ftp to find if anonymous ftp is enabled (which could potentially make my task a lot easier, there are rare computers with completely open upload/download ftp servers without strong restrictions (allowing you to upload and download to the web root folder)).

C:\>ftp 216.25.200.135
Connected to 216.25.200.135.
220 WIN2KSERVER Microsoft FTP Service (Version 5.0).
User (216.25.200.135:(none)): anonymous
331 Password required for anonymous.
Password:foo@nowhere.com
530 User anonymous cannot log in.
Login failed.
ftp> quit
221 Fuck off!

It seems that anonymous ftp isnâۉ„¢t enabled, and not only that the server is quite rude when I leave. The server did give some confirmation that it is running Windows NT, or in this case Windows 2000 (dead giveaway in the machineâۉ„¢s name â€ËœWIN2KSERVERâۉ„¢). Weâۉ„¢ll try the SMTP server now to check for user names.

220 WIN2KSERVER Microsoft ESMTP MAIL Service, Version: 5.0.2195.2966
ready at Fri, 22 Jun 2001 09:08:49 âۉ€Å“0400
vrfy smellydell
252 2.1.5 Cannot VRFY user, but will take message for smellydell
vrfy administrator
252 2.1.5 Cannot VRFY user, but will take message for administrator

well, thereâۉ„¢s no use in verifying anyone on this server as it seems that the server will give the same message for real and bogus accounts (all NT servers have an â€Ëœadministratorâۉ„¢ account, in much the same way that *nix have root accounts). The â€Ëœexpnâۉ„¢ command didnâۉ„¢t work at all on this server (replied with â€Ëœunknown commandâۉ„¢ at expn postmaster). So at this point Iâۉ„¢m S.O.L., but some machines will give a very good list of users and or active accounts using the smtp server.

Ok, so Iâۉ„¢m off to brute forcing. The first thing I do is fire up Brutus.

Screenshot of brutus at startup

Next Iâۉ„¢ll have to modify my users list (found in users.txt in the Brutus directory) to include users I suspect to be on an NT server. NT always has a â€ËœGuestâۉ„¢ account and an â€ËœAdministratorâۉ„¢ account. Iâۉ„¢ll add a few more guesses. In the end my users list looks like this:

A text file list of users

The next step is to fire Brutus at the target, when configured for an ftp attack, Brutus appears thus:

Configuring brutus

Youâۉ„¢ll notice I set the timeout higher than the default. Brutus nicely circumvents connection limits by creating new connections for every request. This is useful because some servers will cut your connection after 3 bad guesses at passwords. Brutus uses the targets ability to take multiple ftp requests and creates a new request for every guess (I have set the program to make 10 requests simultaneously). The timeout is the lag time that the program will allow before it makes a new request. If you donâۉ„¢t set this high enough you are likely to flood the target and either crash its server, or simply hang Brutus. You can use a really high connection and low timeout rate as an effective DoS attack that will knock weak servers completely off the net.

So now Iâۉ„¢ll fire Brutus at the target. Iâۉ„¢m using the default password list that comes with the program, but there are several larger, and more complete word lists available online. What Brutus will do is try every username listed in the users file with every password in the word list (and can even generate its own random word list to include all combinations of letters, characters, and numbers). Remember that most passwords are 8 characters long, so its usually not worthwhile to try and brute force very short passwords. Hereâۉ„¢s what Brutus looks like in action:

Screenshot of brutus attacking a target

Now, the downside to brute forcing is that it is extremely noisy, and even the worst sysadmin should notice it. During my demonstration my server immediately popped an alert that the system log was full. A quick examination of the system log reveals the problem immediately:

Screenshot of an NT event log

All those warnings you see are bad FTP login attempts. A double click on the alert shows:

Screenshot of an event log detail showing the brute force attack

It isnâۉ„¢t hard to figure out exactly what is going on. Even more disturbing is the log file left behind. Hereâۉ„¢s a snippit:

13:30:18 216.25.200.135 [5]USER admin 331
13:30:18 216.25.200.135 [6]USER admin 331
13:30:18 216.25.200.135 [7]USER admin 331

13:30:18 216.25.200.135 [9]USER admin 331
13:30:18 216.25.200.135 [10]USER admin 331

13:30:18 216.25.200.135 [14]USER admin 331
13:30:18 216.25.200.135 [5]PASS - 530
13:30:18 216.25.200.135 [6]PASS - 530
13:30:18 216.25.200.135 [7]PASS - 530
13:30:18 216.25.200.135 [8]PASS - 530
13:30:18 216.25.200.135 [9]PASS - 530
13:30:18 216.25.200.135 [10]PASS - 530
13:30:18 216.25.200.135 [11]PASS - 530
13:30:18 216.25.200.135 [15]USER admin 331
13:30:18 216.25.200.135 [16]USER admin 331

Not only do you notice all the tries for the same account, but you can tell it is an automated attempt to brute force because the times of the attempts are so close together (60 or so attempts a second). Even more damning is that my IP address is logged all over the huge log file. Its not hard to spot me or figure out what Iâۉ„¢m attempting to do. Be warned if you attempt a brute force that you are probably going to get notice.

Now, I happened to be successful on this attempt and got on username and password. The results are displayed in Brutus under the â€ËœPositive Authentication Resultsâۉ„¢ window:

Screenshot showing brutus successfully identifying login information

You can see the username â€Ëœuserâۉ„¢ and password â€Ëœcharlesâۉ„¢ worked on the server. Lets try them out:

C:\>ftp 216.25.200.135
Connected to 216.25.200.135.
220 WIN2KSERVER Microsoft FTP Service (Version 5.0).
User (216.25.200.135:(none)): user
331 Password required for user.
Password: charles
230-Fuck you!
230 User user logged in.
ftp>

Boom, and its just that easy. Now that Iâۉ„¢m in my first step should be to attempt to clean up the traces of my attack (i.e. the log files and system event logs). Accomplishing this task takes more explanation than I have time for here, but hopefully you get the idea.

If nothing else, this short article should show you the value of good passwords. If I hadnâۉ„¢t set up the account â€Ëœuserâۉ„¢ with such a crappy password this attack most likely would have been unsuccessful. See my article on passwords for a good run down of how to pick a good password to keep your accounts safe from brute force attempts.

Tutorial: How to hack with a ip address

Tutorial: How to hack with a ip address
So say somehow somewhere we ended up choosing a target to start wreaking havoc upon. All we need is an IP Address. Theres plenty of papers out there that go into how to obtain an IP Address from the preferred mark of your choice. So I'm not going to go into that subject. Alright so say we got the targets IP Address finally. What do we do with this IP Address. Well first ping the IP Address to make sure that its alive. In otherwords online. Now at the bottom of this document ill include some links where you can obtain some key tools that may help on your journey through the electronic jungle. So we need to find places to get inside of the computer so we can start trying to find a way to "hack" the box. Port Scanners are used to identify the open ports on a machine thats running on a network, whether its a router, or a desktop computer, they will all have ports. Protocols use these ports to communicate with other services and resources on the network.

1) Blues Port Scanner - This program will scan the IP address that you chose and identify open ports that are on the target box.

Example 1:
Idlescan using Zombie (192.150.13.111:80); Class: Incremental
Interesting ports on 208.225.90.120:
(The 65522 ports scanned but not shown below are in state: closed)
Port State Service
21/tcp open ftp
25/tcp open smtp
80/tcp open http
111/tcp open sunrpc
135/tcp open loc-srv
443/tcp open https 1027/tcp open IIS
1030/tcp open iad1
2306/tcp open unknown
5631/tcp open pcanywheredata
7937/tcp open unknown
7938/tcp open unknown
36890/tcp open unknown

In example 1 now we see that there are a variety of ports open on this box. Take note of all the ports that you see listed before you. Most of them will be paired up with the type of protocol that uses that port (IE. 80-HTTP 25-SMTP Etc Etc...) Simply take all that information and paste it into notepad or the editor of your choice. This is the beginning of your targets record. So now we know what ports are open. These are all theoretical points of entry where we could wiggle into the computer system. But we all know its not that easy. Alright so we dont even know what type of software or what operating system that this system is running.

2) NMAP - Port Scanner - Has unique OS fingerprinting methods so when the program sees a certain series of ports open it uses its best judgement to guess what operating system its running. Generally correct with my experiences.

So we have to figure out what type of software this box is running if we are gonna start hacking the thing right? Many of you have used TELNET for your MUDS and MOOS and weird multiplayer text dungeons and many of you havent even heard of it before period. TELNET is used to open a remote connection to an IP Address through a Port. So what that means is we are accessing their computer from across the internet, all we need is their IP Address and a port number. With that record you are starting to compile, open a TELNET connection to the IP Address and enter one of the OPEN ports that you found on the target.
So say we typed 'TELNET -o xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx 25' This command will open up a connection through port 25 to the IP xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx. Now you may see some text at the very top of the screen. You may think, well what the hell, how is that little string of text going to help me. Well get that list you are starting to write, and copy the banners into your compilation of the information youve gathered on your target. Banners/Headers are what you get when you TELNET to the open ports. Heres an example of a banner from port 25.

220 jesus.gha.chartermi.net ESMTP Sendmail 8.12.8/8.12.8; Fri, 7 Oct 2005 01:22:29 -0400

Now this is a very important part in the enumeration process. You notice it says 'Sendmail 8.12.8/8.12.8' Well what do ya know, we now have discovered a version number. This is where we can start identifying the programs running on the machine. There are some instances in which companies will try and falsify their headers/banners so hackers are unable to find out what programs are truly installed. Now just copy all the banners from all the open ports *Some Ports May Have No Bannners* and organize them in the little record we have of the target. Now we have all the open ports, and a list of the programs running and their version numbers. This is some of the most sensitive information you can come across in the networking world. Other points of interest may be the DNS server, that contains lots of information and if you are able to manipulate it than you can pretend to hotmail, and steal a bunch of peoples email. Well now back to the task at handu. Apart from actual company secrets and secret configurations of the network hardware, you got some good juicy info. http://www.securityfocus.com is a very good resource for looking up software vulnerabilities. If you cant find any vulnerabilities there, search on google. There are many, many, many other sites that post vulnerabilities that their groups find and their affiliates.

At SecurityFocus you can search through vendor and whatnot to try and find your peice of software, or you can use the search box. When i searched SecurityFocus i found a paper on how Sendmail 8.12.8 had a buffer overflow. There was proof of concept code where they wrote the shellcode and everything, so if you ran the code with the right syntax, a command prompt would just spawn. You should notice a (#) on the line where your code is being typed. That pound symbol means that the command prompt window thats currently open was opened as root. The highest privilage on a UNIX/Linux Box. You have just successfully hacked a box. Now that you have a command shell in front of you, you can start doing whatever you want, delete everything if you want to be a fucking jerk, however I dont recommend that. Maybe leave a text file saying how you did it and that they should patch their system.....whoever they are. And many times the best thing you can do is just lay in the shadows, dont let anyone know what you did. More often than not this is the path you are going to want to take to avoid unwanted visits by the authorities.

There are many types of exploits out there, some are Denial of Service exploits, where you shut down a box, or render an application/process unusable. Called denial of service simply because you are denying a service on someones box to everyone trying to access it. Buffer Overflow exploits are involved when a variable inside some code doesnt have any input validation. Each letter you enter in for the string variable will be 1 byte long. Now where the variables are located at when they are in use by a program is called the buffer. Now what do you think overflowing the buffer means. We overflow the buffer so we can get to a totally different memory address. Then people write whats called shellcode in hex. This shellcode is what returns that command prompt when you run the exploit. That wasnt the best description of a buffer overflow, however all you need to remember is that garbage data fills up the data registers so then the buffer overflows and allows for remote execution of almost every command available. There are many, many other types of attacks that cannot all be described here, like man-in-the-middle attacks where you spoof who you are. Performed correctly, the victim will enter http://www.bank.com and his connection will be redirected to your site where you can make a username and password box, make the site look legit. And your poor mark will enter their credentials into your site, when they think its really http://www.bank.com. You need to have a small script set up so it will automatiically display like an error or something once they try and log in with their credentials. This makes it seem like the site is down and the victim doenst give it a second thought and will simply try again later.

So as a summary of how to 0Wn a box when you only have an IP Address
Method Works On BOTH *Nix and Windoze

****You can do the same with domain names (IE google.com) than what you can with IP Addresses. Run a WHOIS Lookup or something along those lines. Or check up on InterNIC you should be able to resolve the domain name to an IP address.****

- Port Scan The Address And Record Open Ports
- Telnet To Open Ports To Identify Software Running On Ports

3) netcat - Network swiss army knife. Like TELNET only better and with a lot more functionality. Both can be used when you are trying to fingerprint software on open ports

- Record Banners And Take Note Of The Application Running and The Version Number
- Take A Gander Online At SecurityFocus.com or Eeye.com. If you cant find any vulnerabilities then search google.
- Make a copy of some Proof-Of-Concept code for the vulnerability.

*Read the documentation if there is any, for the proof-of-concept code you will be using for your exploit*

- Run The Exploit Against The Victim.
- Reap The Cheap-Sh0t Ownage
__________________________________________________ _______________
**This document does not go into covering your tracks. If you dare try any of this stuff on a box you dont have consent to hack on, They will simply look at the logs and see your IP Address and then go straight to your ISP. Once you get more 1337 you get to learn how to get away with the nasty deeds. This is what the majority of kode-kiddies do when they perform attacks. The key is to enumerate all the info you can from the machine, the more info you have on the system the better. User accounts can also be enumerated.
